- Chinese Ride-Sharing Didi Will Test Digital Yuan

Chinese ride-hailing juggernaut DiDi Chuxing has joined the digital yuan project, a CBDC developed by the People’s Bank of China(PBoC). Didi reveals that the digital currency research unit of PBOC is working with Didi to apply digital currency electronic payment, or DCEP, on the ride hailing app. Didi currently serves a total of over 550 million users users across Asia, Latin America and Australia. - Giant Shipping Company Cosco Will Test Alibaba’s Ant Blockchain

Global Shipping Giant Cosco confirmed earlier this week it will test Ant Blockchain, a product of Alibaba subsidiary Ant Financial, to cut costs. Both the companies said that blockchain will be used for distribute verified and tamper-proof key documentation, such as container records and import licenses, to relevant parties. - IOTA 2.0: Pollen Testnet Records 1500 TPS

Early progress updates from Pollen, the first IOTA 2.0 testnet infrastructure are in, with over 20,000 value transactions already exchanged between nodes on the network. IOTA stated that the Pollen testnet recorded over 280,000 transactions exchanged between node operators. Furthermore, it took between 10-12 seconds for messages or IOTA tokens to reach the receiver. Bill Miller, chairman and chief investment officer of Miller Value Partners that manages $3 billion in assets says as an investment perspective, Bitcoin continues to provide a very favorable risk-reward ratio. He is an advocate for a small 1% to 2% portfolio allocation for BTC. In the long run, he believes he can earn 1000 times or more on his BTC investment, which will place Bitcoin at $300,000. - Report: Coinbase Will Get Listed In U.S. Stock Market

Coinbase, the largest exchange in the U.S., is set to debut on the U.S. stock market as soon as in 2020, according to a recent Reuters report. Multiple sources familiar with the matter have confirmed that the Brian Armstrong-led trading platform is in the middle of preparations for its public debut. The $8 bln crypto behemoth needs to obtain approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to get listed on the stock market. - London Stock Exchange Assigns 'Bar Codes' to 169 Cryptos

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is giving cryptocurrencies the equivalent of the bar codes found on soup cans and jam jars. LSEG added 169 digital assets to its SEDOL Masterfile service, a global database that assigns unique identifiers to financial instruments. The assignees included digital currencies such as bitcoin, “digital platforms” like Ethereum.
